HISTORIE/DOCUMENTATIE
Vetroresina: Italiaans voor glasvezel. Het is de naam van de eerste serie van de Ferrari 308, waarvan slechts 712 exemplaren gebouwd zijn. Doordat de carrosserie van glasvezel is vervaardigd, is hij maar liefst 150 kg lichter dan de 'standaard' Ferrari 308. Een zeldzaamheid en daardoor kostbaar, expliciet dit exemplaar. De Ferrari beschikt over een 'Ferrari Classiche' certificaat (afgegeven in 2024): een onderzoeksrapport dat de authenticiteit van de Ferrari bewijst. Deze certificaten worden enkel afgegeven door Ferrari Classiche in Maranello. Alleen dit rapport is al een kunstwerk om te zien. Dit rapport spreekt voor zich: de Ferrari is volledig teruggebracht in originele staat. Bij de auto aanwezig zijn het originele instructieboekje, het serviceboekje en uitvoerige onderhoudsdocumentatie. De auto is sinds 2019 in Nederland geregistreerd.

EXTERIEUR
Wat dit exemplaar tamelijk uniek maakt, is de originele zeldzame kleursamenstelling: 'Azzurro Metallizzato' lichtblauw lakwerk met cognac lederen bekleding. Bijzonder smaakvol en zeldzaam. De auto is recent gerestaureerd waarbij het lakwerk professioneel nieuw is gespoten. De optische staat is dan ook uitmuntend. Tijdens de demontage en opbouw is de auto gecontroleerd op de originele glasvezel panelen door de fabrieksnummers op de achterkant van deze panelen af te lezen. Alle velgen zijn nog voorzien van de originele zwarte 7 1/2 x 14 Campagnolo letters die geëtst zijn op het magnesium. De ramen rondom zijn nog origineel en de originele “California” zijspiegel is nog aanwezig. Ook de onderzijde van de auto verkeert in topstaat.

INTERIEUR
Het 'Pelle Beige' interieur verkeert voor zover waarneembaar in zeer originele staat: de tapijten zijn enkel gereinigd en de dashboard rand is nog in goede staat. Ook het hemeltje verkeert in goede staat. Dit zijn indicatoren dat de auto over een lage kilometerstand beschikt. Alle knopjes en lampjes zijn werkend, iets wat minder vanzelfsprekend is bij de Vetroresina modellen. De stoelen zijn onbeschadigd. Een prettige cockpit met fraaie tellers, en verder voorzien van precies de luxe die niet overbodig is: airconditioning en elektrisch bedienbare ramen. Ook de airconditioning werkt naar behoren. Ook de kofferruimte aan de voorzijde is in nette staat. Bij de auto is nog de originele en complete reparatieset aanwezig.

TECHNISCH
De motorruimte is droog en toont de blinkende V8-motor, die origineel is. Ook de versnellingsbak is nog origineel, blijkt ook uit het 'Ferrari Classiche' rapport. In 2025 is een onderhoudsbeurt uitgevoerd bij de erkende Ferrari-dealer Kroymans voor een grote onderhoudsbeurt inclusief vervanging van de distributieriem en nieuwe APK (geldig tot februari 2027).Te merken valt dat de auto technisch goed onderhouden is, want hij rijdt en schakelt goed.

ALGEMENE INFORMATIE
De 308 was één van Ferrari zijn meest succesvolle modellen. Zo bekend, dat hij in 2004 op de 5e plek belandde van de “Top sportwagens van de jaren 70”. De auto is ontworpen door het Italiaanse Scaglietti. Het gaat hier om de eerste serie van de 308 GTB, die gebouwd is van 1975 tot halverwege 1977. Dankzij de glasvezel carrosserie weegt de 308 GTB Vetroresina slechts 1.050 kg, zo’n 150 kg minder dan de latere 308 GTB’s. Van deze eerste serie zijn maar 712 exemplaren gemaakt, waardoor dit de meest gewilde versie van de 308 GTB is. Ongeveer 400 exemplaren zijn links-gestuurd, waar slechts een zeer klein aantal in de door ons aangeboden lichtblauwe kleur. Waar de V8 middenmotor tegenwoordig onlosmakelijk is verbonden met Ferrari, was dit ten tijde van de 308 GTB nog een nieuw fenomeen. De V8 was nog maar kort daarvoor geïntroduceerd in de 308 GT4. De 2,9 liter V8 uit die auto vond ook zijn weg naar de 308 GTB. De motor bleef verder ongewijzigd, waardoor zowel de 308 GTB, net als de GT4, over 255 pk beschikt.

Een Vetroresina onderscheidt zich optisch van de reguliere 308 door:
- Achteruitrijlampen in de bumper in plaats van in de knipperlichten
- Op de A stijl zit een zwarte rand om de panelen te verbinden
- Het paneel tussen de achterlichten is recht en heeft geen uitsparing voor een kentekenplaat
- Altijd voorzien van een enkele uitlaat

HISTORY/DOCUMENTATION
Vetroresina: Italian for fibreglass. It is the name of the first series of the Ferrari 308, of which only 712 were built. Because the body is made of glass fibre, it is as much as 150 kg lighter than the “standard” Ferrari 308. A rarity and therefore precious, explicitly this specimen. The Ferrari has a “Ferrari Classiche” certificate (issued in 2024): an examination report proving the Ferrari's authenticity. These certificates are issued only by Ferrari Classiche in Maranello. This report alone is a work of art to behold. This report speaks for itself: the Ferrari has been fully restored to its original condition. Present with the car are the original instruction booklet, service booklet and comprehensive service documentation. The car has been registered in the Netherlands since 2019.

EXTERIOR
What makes this example rather unique is the original rare colour scheme: 'Azzurro Metallizzato' light blue paintwork with cognac leather upholstery. Particularly tasteful and rare. The car was recently restored with the paintwork professionally repainted. The optical condition is therefore outstanding. During disassembly and reassembly, the car was checked for the original fibreglass panels by reading the factory numbers on the back of these panels. All rims still have the original black 7 1/2 x 14 Campagnolo letters etched on the magnesium. The windows all around are still original and the original ‘California’ side mirror is still present. The underside of the car is also in top condition.

INTERIOR
The 'Pelle Beige' interior is, as far as can be seen, in very original condition: the carpets have only been cleaned and the dashboard surround is still in good condition. The headliner is also in good condition. These are indicators that the car has low mileage. All buttons and lights are working, something less obvious in Vetroresina models. The seats are undamaged. A pleasant cockpit with nice counters, and otherwise equipped with exactly the luxuries that are not superfluous: air conditioning and electric windows. The air conditioning also works properly. The front boot is also in clean condition. The car still has its original and complete repair kit.

TECHNICAL
The engine compartment is dry and shows the shiny V8 engine, which is original. The gearbox is also still original, as evidenced by the “Ferrari Classiche” report. In 2025, a service was carried out at the authorised Ferrari dealer Kroymans for a major service including replacement of the timing belt and new MOT (valid until February 2027).It is noticeable that the car has been well maintained technically, as it drives and shifts well.

GENERAL INFORMATION
The 308 was one of Ferrari's most successful models. So famous, in fact, that it landed in 5th place of the ‘Top sports cars of the 1970s’ in 2004. The car was designed by Italy's Scaglietti. This is the first series of the 308 GTB, built from 1975 to mid-1977. Thanks to its fibreglass body, the 308 GTB Vetroresina weighs just 1,050 kg, some 150 kg less than the later 308 GTBs. Only 712 examples of this first series were made, making it the most sought-after version of the 308 GTB. Around 400 examples are left-hand drive, where only a very small number come in the light blue colour we have on offer. While today the V8 mid-engine is inextricably linked to Ferrari, at the time of the 308 GTB it was still a new phenomenon. The V8 had only recently been introduced in the 308 GT4. The 2.9-litre V8 from that car also found its way to the 308 GTB. The engine otherwise remained unchanged, giving both the 308 GTB, like the GT4, 255 hp.

Visually, a Vetroresina is distinguished from the regular 308 by:
- Reversing lights in the bumper instead of in the turn signals
- There is a black border on the A-pillar to connect the panels
- The panel between the rear lights is straight and has no recess for a number plate
- Always fitted with a single exhaust
