Almost unique: the Sarcon Scarab built in the early 1970s by Sarcon Ltd.

Racing car chassis manufacturer and fiberglass specialists based in Yeadon, Leeds in the UK.

The Sarcon Scarab offered here is actually the only 'production car' with a fiberglass body - the only other Scarab in existence had an aluminum body.

Unfortunately, we still don't know what happened to the company Sarcon Ltd. happened, but the fact is that they were closed very soon after the launch of the car.

This first production car was used for sprinting and hill climbing in the 1970s, the former English license plate of this car was 'CBH 336K'.

Unfortunately, the license plate has been lost over the years.

In the eighties this car ended up in Belgium with the idea of restoring it.

This was started years ago and the body is now 80% ready.

Unfortunately, the project failed and the car ended up in the proverbial corner.

The current owner has decided to sell the car now, due to other projects that are still there. And now he also wants to reduce his collection somewhat.

A unique opportunity to acquire a unique car.

This car is a must-have for the MINI enthusiast who already has everything, or of course for an enthusiastic hobby restorer who will wake this Sarcon Scarab from its slumber.

Bijna een unicum: de Sarcon Scarab die begin jaren zeventig werd gebouwd door Sarcon Ltd.

Fabrikant van racewagenchassis en glasvezelspecialisten in Yeadon, Leeds in het Verenigd Koninkrijk.

De hier aangeboden Sarcon Scarab is eigenlijk de enige 'productieauto' met een carrosserie van glasvezel - de enige andere Scarab die bestond, had een carrosserie van aluminium.
We weten helaas nog steeds niet wat er met het bedrijf Sarcon Ltd. is gebeurd, maar feit is dat ze zeer snel na de lancering van de auto zijn gesloten.
Met deze eerste productieauto werd in de jaren zeventig gesprint en heuvelgeklommen, het voormalige Engelse kenteken van deze auto was 'CBH 336K'.
Helaas is het kenteken in de jaren verloren gegaan.
In de jaren tachtig is deze auto in België terecht gekomen met het idee om deze te restaureren.

Daar is jaren terug een begin aan gemaakt en de body is dan ook voor 80% klaar te noemen.

Helaas is het project gestrand en is de auto in de spreekwoordelijke hoek beland.

De huidige eigenaar heeft besloten de auto nu te verkopen, dit vanwege andere projecten die er ook nog staan. En inmiddels wil hij ook zijn verzameling wat verminderen.

Een unieke kans om een unieke auto te bemachtigen.

Deze auto is een must-have voor de MINI liefhebber die eigenlijk alles al heeft, of natuurlijk voor een enthousiaste hobby-restaurateur die deze Sarcon Scarab weer uit zijn slaap gaat halen.
